 Water & Food

During the warm seasons, water lightly every 1-2 weeks ensuring the soil is never sodden. Also feed monthly.

During colder months, allow the soil to dry so the plants' roots can breathe.

 Humidity & Temperature

They like normal-to-cool room temperature and humidity. And keep away from dry air.

Sansevieria is native to Africa, Madagascar and southern Asia and is in the same family of plants as the common and delicious Asparagus. The Fernwood is from the 'hard leafed' side of the family, with its thick, succulent leaves used for storing water and thick leaf cuticles for reducing moisture loss. It's thought that the cylindrical shape helps to reduce surface area, protecting it from the heat and cold.

And... they've been on the scene since the 1930s, having frequently been used as a set decoration in many films and TV shows, both in Hollywood and internationally, including A Serbian Film, Being John Malkovich, Blue Velvet, Duck Soup, Groundhog Day, Homegrown, The Paper, and These Final Hours.
