Young Coffee Plant

The young Arabica displays beautiful dark lush leaves all year round. Once mature, the plant produces fantastic white, sweet-scented flowers in the springtime, eventually turning in to our much loved beans (though I wouldn't put the kettle on just yet...)

Water lightly every 1-2 weeks
Pot Size: 6cm

Water & Food
During the warm seasons, water lightly every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out between waterings. Also feed monthly.
During colder months, allow the soil to dry so the plants' roots can breathe.
Humidity & Temperature
They like normal-to-cool room temperature and humidity. Keep away from dry air.
The origin of coffee traces back centuries to Ethiopia to a goat herding monk. This herder, exhausted from caring for his unusually unruly herd, discovered they had been devouring a particular plant berry (any guesses?). Intrigued by their effect, he tried brewing his own concoction, discovering an energy boost that allowed him, and the other monks to be more focused during prayer. The word spread quickly, and so coffee was born.
The Arabica plant specifically is known as the mountain coffee plant, growing in compact bushes in the hills of Arabia. Its shrub density, high bean production and tolerance for growing conditions means is now the most cultivated coffee plant in the world.
